Leicestershire General Membership Branch

Welcome to the General Membership Branch of Leicestershire IWW

The IWW is the historic fighting union which is controlled by its members. It is like no other union in that we believe the problems of the working class cannot be solved by begging crumbs from employers or praying to politicians for favours. While it fights for better conditions today, the IWW insists that working people are entitled to everything they produce, instead of a meagre share.

If your workplace is not unionised, then please get in touch and we'll do what we can to help you get yourselves organised.

On the other hand, if your workplace is unionised with a partnership oriented mainstream union, then the IWW can provide a sound framework for a fighting rank and file alternative. Get in touch to see what we can do together.

Or if you just want to organise with other workplace militants in Leicestershire, then the IWW is the place for you.

Workers of all kinds are organised in the IWW. These include: computer workers, education workers, general distribution workers, health, postal and finance workers, and workers from many other industries too.

Make a real difference...

The IWW is a union unlike any other. It is a grassroots, democratic and militant union that seeks to organise ALL workers in ALL industries in ALL countries into ONE BIG UNION.

  • The IWW is wholly independent and not affiliated to any political party or movement.
  • Real democracy - the IWW is truly controlled by its members.
  • Low dues - dues are paid according to a sliding scale with low paid or unemployed members paying from as little as £1 a month.

So what are you waiting for? Get in touch today!
